In January 2015 Abena started building a new 11,000 m2 warehouse
At Abena HQ in Aabenraa a new warehouse is in the making.
The new warehouse will be 11,000 m2 in size and it will to a great extent ease the pressure on our current warehouse.
The building will also include two distinct stockrooms for disinfectants, cleaning supplies etc. These rooms will be equipped with state-of-the-art safety gear such as foam extinguishers that can fill the rooms with flame-retardant foam in less than 4 minutes.
“The incentive to build this new warehouse is above all to ease the pressure on our fully-automatic warehouse, so that we are able to continuously uphold our high level of service and on-time delivery,” says CEO of Abena Produktion, Arne Terp-Nielsen.
On September 10 Abena Produktion held a topping-out ceremony, and the goal is that the new warehouse will be complete at the end of December 2015.
This investment marks Abena's continued commitment to staying close to our customers and our focus on day-to-day delivery.
